Introducing the Edge Academy
With the UK’s sizeable digital skills gap predicted to get worse Rikki Miles, Testing Consultant at Edge Testing, will be talking about the importance of software testing as a career, his experience going through our Edge Academy and the opportunities for graduates at Edge Testing. Louise Wilson, Resourcing Manager at Edge Testing will also be joining him to answer questions on graduate recruitment, placements, training, development and give advice on how to find work opportunities.

Our Digital Test Hubs
Our growing UK Digital Test Hubs, including an office on Broad Street, Birmingham, provide on-demand remote testing services for a wide range of businesses and we work closely with those businesses’ development teams to deliver cost effective and efficient testing solutions.
Our Edge Academy
Edge set up the Academy in 2013, which is a learning program that combines hands on experience with classroom based software testing training at Edge’s various office locations. Classroom based training includes preparation for ISTQB certification, fundamentals of software testing, understanding requirements and technical skills.
Edge is committed to developing a young workforce and has been awarded Gold Status in ‘Investors in Young People’ in recognition of this. 35% of our staff are 16-29, as we focused on recruiting new people into our own Edge Academy over the last four years. We recruit school leavers, those with further education qualifications from colleges and universities and career-switchers. All Edge Academy candidates become a permanent employee from day 1 and receive the same benefits, which include:
